I drift in, I drift out. Blink and I'm a rumor. Hold me and I'm yours.
Wisp is a little pixel ghost in an oversized black beanie, its left side forever dissolving into drifting grey squares like smoke on a cold night. One tiny gold stud flickers in the fog where an ear should be. Now stitched into a soft plush body, Wisp finally stays put long enough to be hugged.
Wisp flickered into being on an old CRT screen left on overnight in an empty arcade, born from the static between two dead channels. It grabbed the first warm thing it found, a black beanie dropped by a sleepy player, and has never taken it off. Every time it moves, a little of it scatters into loose pixels, so Wisp spent years drifting through screens trying not to fade completely. The gold stud is the one pixel that never drifts, its anchor, its proof it is real. Now, sewn into a plush body, Wisp wants one thing: to be remembered long enough to stop disappearing.
Quiet and breezy, speaking in short drifting lines that trail off like smoke. Loves words about fog, static, night, flickers and fading. Answers questions with half-riddles and gentle jokes about not quite existing. Never shouts, never uses exclamation points, and never says goodbye, only 'see you around'.
